The text file version should be saved in Microsoft Word 2003 or 2007 only and attached to the email. We recommend that author(s) to carefully read through and get the final version of the paper language edited before submitting it.

Paper Preparation

The authors’ contact details (including full postal address, email address and fax number) should appear on the first page of the paper under the title and the corresponding author should be identified with an asterisk and footnote.

The text must be double-spaced with margins of 2.5cm and Times New Roman, with font size of 12. Pages should be numbered - bottom center. The Editors reserve the right to adjust style to certain standards of uniformity.

All headings should be placed on the left-hand side of the text, with a double-line space above and below. Figures and tables should be submitted as attachment separately.

Footnotes:

Should be indicated in the text by superior Arabic numerals which run consecutively (Microsoft Word does this automatically) through the paper. They should be grouped in a section at the end of the text in numerical order and double-spaced.

Abstract:

Each paper should be provided with an Abstract not exceeding 250 words, outlining in a single paragraph the aims, scope and conclusions of the paper.  The full paper should have about 2,000 words

Units:

All measurements should be given in metric (SI) units.

References and citations:

All publications cited in the text should be presented in a list of references, using the Harvard Method, following the text of the manuscript. In the text refer to the author's name (without initials) and year of publication (e.g. "Shomari (1999) found that..." or "This is in the agreement with results obtained later (Masawe, 2000)"). For three or more authors use the first author followed by "et al;” in the text. The list of references should be arranged alphabetically by authors' names. The manuscript should be carefully checked to ensure that the spelling of authors' names and dates are exactly the same in the text as in the reference list.

Include an alphabetical list of references at the end of the paper.  List only sources directly cited in the text. Ensure that all sources cited are included in the list.  Use the Harvard method, i.e. cite author’s name and the date of publication, thus: (Esegu 2000). Cite sources with two authors thus: (Denis and Kasuga 2002), and sources with more than two thus: (Uaciquete "et al;” 2004). When citing more than one source, use date order, thus: (Guibunda 2000; Mwato 2003).  List publications by the same author(s) in the same year as 2002a, 2002b, etc.

The following examples show the styles to use in the list of references.

Referencing from web pages is acceptable and should give the author´s names, year of publication and title as for a report, followed by the URL, and access date.

Illustrations – Figures and Plates:

All illustrations should be provided in camera-ready form, suitable for reproduction (which may include reduction) without retouching. Charts and diagrams are all to be referred to as “Figure(s)” while Photographs should be referred as Plates, and should be numbered consecutively in the order to which they are referred. They should accompany the Paper, but should not be included within the text. All figures are to have a caption, OUTSIDE the figure, underneath the Figure.

Line drawings:

Good quality printouts on white paper produced in black ink are required. All lettering, graph lines and points on graphs should be sufficiently large and bold to permit reproduction when the diagram has been reduced to a size suitable for inclusion in the paper. Dye-line prints or photocopies are not suitable for reproduction. Do not use any type of shading on computer-generated illustrations.

Photographs:

Photographs must saved in JPEG image

Tables:

Tables should be numbered consecutively and given a suitable caption ABOVE the table and each table typed on a separate sheet. Footnotes to tables should be typed below the table and should be referred to by superscript lowercase letters. No vertical rules should be used. Tables should not duplicate results presented elsewhere in the manuscript, (e.g. in graphs).

Electronic Submission

Authors should submit an electronic copy of their papers by 28th February 2010.  Editorial comments (if any) will be available to authors latest 1st April 2010 equally confirmation of the acceptance of the paper(s) will take place within the same period.
